Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By using LevelHeadedApp, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. "LevelHeadedApp" is the legal name of the service and is used consistently throughout these Terms and all related policies; no other trading name applies.
2. Who can use LevelHeadedApp
You must be 18 or older. LevelHeadedApp is not designed for minors.
3. Not therapy, not medical advice
LevelHeadedApp is a self-reflection tool. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice. It is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your account and the activity on it. Keep your credentials secure.
5. Acceptable use
Your use of LevelHeadedApp is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: no harassment, threats, coercion, or illegal use. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.
6. AI features
AI-generated analyses and rewrites are suggestions only. They can be wrong, biased, or incomplete. They do not assess, screen for, or diagnose any medical or mental health condition. You are responsible for what you say and send.
7. Scores and quiz results
Quiz results, streaks, and the Control Score are self-report reflection tools, not clinical measures. How they are calculated is published at /methodology.
8. Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings or the billing portal. Refunds follow our Refund Policy and applicable law.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any specific emotional, relational, or behavioral outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LevelHeadedApp and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LevelHeadedApp and its operators, officers, and contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your use of the service, your content, your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas, except that either party may seek relief in small claims court, and nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. Before filing, please contact us so we can try to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect.
